THE zMAD HIGH SCHOOL SUMMER LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE

A HANDS-ON LIFE CHANGING HIGH SCHOOL SUMMER CIVIC LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

WHEN YOU CATCH A GLIMPSE OF YOUR POTENTIAL, THAT'S WHEN PASSION IS FORMED

The Make A Difference (zMAD) Leadership Experience is a High School Leadership program that allows teens the privilege to work with accomplished and respected business leaders, nonprofits and government officials to make a difference in our community.

Five teams of four students each work with a coach for 40 hours to compete in creating the most innovative and effective solution to a community need.

These needs may be in the areas of homelessness, child hunger, bullying, depression, Environmental concerns and others. Each team will choose a need that they can stand behind and get to the creative work of solving it!

This program is based around Stanford’s Design Thinking Process. Students learn how to follow this process and learn how to problem solve in a very creative way.  They gain critical-thinking, problem-solving, leadership, decision-making, communication skills, professionalism/work ethic, and teamwork/collaboration skills.
